Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ChefLytics (“ChefLytics”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our restaurant-management application and website (the “Service”).
Information we collect
Account information — name, email, and password (stored only as a salted hash) when you create an account.
Restaurant data you provide — point-of-sale exports (e.g. Square sales), supplier invoices and photos, recipes, ingredients, and inventory counts that you upload or connect.
Usage data — basic technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) needed to operate and secure the Service.
How we use your data
We use your data solely to provide the Service: importing and analyzing sales, reading invoices, costing recipes, tracking inventory, and showing you dashboards and alerts. We do not sell your data.
AI processing of invoices
When you use AI invoice scanning, the invoice image and the text we extract from it may be processed by a third-party AI provider strictly to return the line items to your account. We do not use your business data to train third-party models.
Sub-processors and storage
We host the Service and store data with reputable cloud providers (including our database and deployment hosts). Access is restricted and data is encrypted in transit.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can request export or deletion of your restaurant data at any time by contacting us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise them.
Changes
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
